We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our high performing Underground Technical Services team at our KCGM Operations at the new Fimiston Underground Mine. This opportunity is offered on a 4/3 roster, 12-hour days, either residentially based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder - the Heart of the Goldfields, or Fly-in-Fly-out (FIFO) ex Perth.
It is an exciting time to be part of the biggest growth story in Australian Underground Gold Mining, with experience to be gained that will be career defining.
Reporting to the Underground Manager, the primary role is for the safe management and delivery of all Geotechnical requirements within the Geotechnical Engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence (Manual).
  • Experience with mine design software - Deswik.
  • Underground geotechnical experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
  • St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
  • Awareness of the Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations (desirable).
