What You’ll Be Doing: Lead a team of Geotechnical Engineers and collaborate with Design Consultants and PM/CM engineering teams to deliver complex geotechnical solutions for tunnels, deep excavations, diaphragm walls, and related infrastructure. Review geotechnical designs, earth structures, urban excavations, and mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls to ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements. Review and provide technical recommendations for subsurface investigation programs and site exploration activities. Conduct and oversee field investigations, geotechnical assessments, sampling programs, soil classification activities, and technical evaluations. Perform and review advanced geotechnical analyses related to soil and rock properties, shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, ground improvement, earth pressures, liquefaction, geosynthetics, and seismic ground deformation. Evaluate, select, and apply appropriate geotechnical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and design criteria. Perform and review grading, drainage, slope stability, liquefaction, and lateral spreading analyses. Review technical proposals and bids and provide recommendations to support project decision-making. Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are effectively implemented across all geotechnical engineering activities. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to geotechnical engineering teams and project stakeholders. Prepare and review technical reports, engineering assessments, and design recommendations. Support project planning, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and engineering decision-making processes. What Required Skills You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience on major civil, infrastructure, or construction projects. Proven experience in geotechnical investigations, interpretation, and the design of shallow foundations, deep foundations, piles, retaining walls, tunnels, and related infrastructure. Strong knowledge of project management, client coordination, and engineering reporting. Comprehensive understanding of geotechnical engineering practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software such as gINT, PLAXIS, Slope/W, Seep/W, Piglet, or equivalent tools. Demonstrated experience leading and managing geotechnical engineering teams. Strong client relationship management, mentoring, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports. What Desired Skills You’ll Bring: Previous GCC project experience, with Saudi Arabia experience preferred. Experience on railway, metro, transit, or transportation infrastructure projects. Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent professional registration. Experience delivering geotechnical solutions for large-scale underground, transportation, or complex infrastructure projects.
