Description

Pioneer Engineering Consultancy is pleased to announce exciting new career opportunities to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, Member of Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) – mandatory.
  • Licensed or Professional Engineer (PE) in Geotechnical Engineering – required.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering on large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical design software (e.g., PLAXIS, GEO5, or equivalent), and ground investigation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead geotechnical engineering projects, including site investigations, soil testing, foundation design, and slope stability analysis.
  • Review and approve geotechnical reports, designs, and calculations to ensure compliance with international standards and client requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on foundation systems, retaining structures, tunneling, and ground improvement solutions.
  • Liaise with project teams, clients, and contractors to address geotechnical challenges and provide technical solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to soil and subsurface conditions and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor junior geotechnical engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all geotechnical activities.
  • Represent the company in technical meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders.
