THE ROLE Downer’s Power Projects team is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to support the development and delivery of major transmission and energy infrastructure projects. Based in our Milton office, this role is critical in embedding GIS capability across project development, tendering and delivery phases. You’ll lead the production of high-quality geospatial data, mapping and analysis, while supporting project teams with practical, fit-for-purpose GIS solutions. competitive and well-planned project outcomes. Some of the key responsibilities include: Lead GIS integration across transmission project development and delivery activities. Produce and maintain high-quality spatial data, mapping, and analysis using Esri and QGIS platforms. Develop, validate and manage GIS databases, models, templates and quality standards. Provide technical GIS input to bids, estimates and project documentation. Support and quality-check GIS deliverables produced by project teams and GIS staff. ABOUT YOU You’re a technically strong GIS professional who enjoys working closely with engineering and delivery teams. You bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality spatial outputs that support complex infrastructure projects. Strong experience working with ArcGIS, QGIS and spatial databases in a project environment. Ability to manage geospatial data quality, validation and automation. Understanding of transmission, linear infrastructure or energy projects (desirable). Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
