Responsibilities

THE TEAM & FOCUS OF THE ROLE

We have a new opportunity for a Senior GIS Technician to come and join our team! The GIS team work on projects across the country and across all divisions on the business. The team’s work is the keystone to a lot of projects.
The team utilise a lot of technology to be able to deliver the GIS and data solutions to their clients and colleagues. Their work mostly comprises of creating maps and geographic datasets with some field-based data capture.
We are looking for a new member of the team with significant GIS and data management experience to support the expansion of services as well as the wider business and clients.
This a full-time (37.5 hours) permanent role, based at our Estates office in Ashby. We also operate a hybrid working policy.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Working with ArcGIS Pro on GIS projects for a wide range of clients from small one-off plans to major national projects
  • Managing large datasets for projects, maintaining an accurate and current database and liaising with clients and third-party suppliers
  • Preparing data for projects from initial stages of collating OS data, Land Registry data and client data
  • Preparing plans and mail merge data to support large project deliveries for land referencing
  • Managing individual requests via our ticketing system
  • Liaising directly with both internal and external clients for both existing ongoing work and new work streams
  • Creating and running FME routines
