Our Global Brand, Marketing & Communications team is looking for an eperienced and highly capable events & eperiences manager to join this high performing team in the role of Senior Global Events & Eperiences Manager.
As a senior events & eperiences manager you will be responsible for steering, guiding and delivering creative and high-profile events and sponsorship programs that align with ING’s brand. You will play a pivotal role in shaping internal and eternal global events and sponsorship activations, as well as the strategic direction of the epertise.

We are looking for a team member with the following knowledge and eperience:

  • HBO or WO degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ eperience with a proven track record in managing impactful sponsorship activities & high-level events.
  • Preferably managerial eperience, to be able to steer multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Eperienced in working with sr. leadership and multi-disciplinary teams in fast moving and international environments.
  • Passion for events and hospitality, being able to manage a high-pressure job (prioritize) with irregular hours
  • Great understanding of branding, marketing & communications
  • Eperience in building strong and credible relationships with key stakeholders and senior management
  • Ecellent project management skills
  • Data driven attitude: true data curiosity and the ability to derive new insights
  • Eperience in third party management and coordination
  • Willingness to travel and work some evenings/weekends
  • Fluently English and Dutch (speaking & writing)
  • Tech savvy, adaptability with new technologies and platforms and an above average knowledge of (event management) systems in place (a.o. Microsoft applications, registration systems)

Responsibilities

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiating, coordinating, and steering corporate events for internal audiences – both in-person, hybrid and online including:
  • employee & brand engagement events
  • strategy, organisational & change communication events
  • Supervisory Board/Eecutive Board/MBB events and retreats
  • Initiating, coordinating, and steering client events: Wholesale Banking relationship marketing events and sponsorship activations.
  • Builds effective working relationships with internal clients and provide high-quality professional services.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Establishing strong relationships with sponsorship & event managers across the local ING markets and within the ING head office.
  • Unites, ecites and steers the global event community for a.o. coherent event eperiences.
  • Building a connected and engaged community across the sponsorship, events & eperiences specialities
  • Advice on sponsorship activation requests in line with the strategy and related guidelines.
  • Activation and event management from A to Z:
  • Advices on event concepts and content in relation to the objective at hand, according to (internal) clients’ events and eperiences requests.
  • Designs, develops and steers events and eperiences and generates an action plan. Ensures that the client’s objective is met in every way possible.
  • Functions – if required – as an event lead in multi-disciplinary project teams for the event or eperience at hand.
  • Selects, procures and negotiates on all the necessary event agency services, accommodation, catering, audio visual equipment, entertainment, decoration, branding, transport, printing, security and other facilities. Aims for good value for money.
  • Independently monitors – prior to the actual event – the planning, invitations, progress and quality and reports on these areas to the client. Select representatives of eternal suppliers and relations to participate in the project. Manages his/her budget for the event.
  • Manages proper input of addresses, registration, invitations, printing as well as financial reporting, accounting and payments. Follows organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Bears overall responsibility during the event for the organisation, makes any necessary changes and is the main contact person for the client. Manages in this respect a multi-disciplinary team consisting of internal and eternal representatives from suppliers, etc.
  • Arranges for post-event evaluation; decides with the client whether the objectives were met.
  • Maintains marketing records and procedures for each event and implement additional changes to help improve efficiency.
  • Keeps up with the latest trends in presentation forms, techniques and entertainment applicable to the events trade and incorporates these into his/her advisory role.
