THE ROLE & THE TEAM

We want to be the most culturally fluent brand on social media in Europe, and we’re looking for a Senior Global Social Media Manager, Social Content & Campaigns to help us achieve that. You’ll help make Zalando a dynamic voice in culture, always relevant and responsive to the world around us. You’re a person who lives and breathes social media and culture, able to spot signals before they become trends and turn those insights into scroll-stopping content.
As a social content expert, you’ll be the hands-on, proactive creative we need to drive our content strategy. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end content production, including in-house creative ideation and collaborating with external creatives and partners on global campaigns. You’ll manage on-the-ground live posting for activations and aren’t afraid to turn creative ideas into live social content solutions. Beyond creative execution, you have a strategic mind to craft social media strategies that align with business goals and use data to measure and optimize campaigns. You’ll handle projects of larger complexity and mentor team members on social creative best practices, all while staying on top of emerging social trends and platform changes.
This is a fast-paced role that requires top-notch project management and communication skills. You’ll be the main point of contact for social content, ensuring brand consistency across teams and agencies. You’ll be planning and executing social-native content that turns wider business initiatives into digital stories that connect with our audience.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Execute and steer social campaigns on all levels, including creative ideation, production, content capture and planning for Zalando’s social media accounts, ensuring culture and trends are at the forefront.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, adapting easily to changes in planning, content production, and project execution.
  • Independently create and manage content by attending events, shooting, and editing without supervision for publishing.
  • Contribute to 360 marketing initiatives by designing fully integrated campaigns in collaboration with stakeholders from Global Marketing, Public Relations, Creator Marketing, Brand Communications and other teams.
