The team is looking for a candidate with extensive experience in public policy, advocacy and government affairs. Government engagement will be needed on a broad set of issues, including energy and chemical industry regulations, tax, trade etc. This requires a candidate who can track policy developments at early stage, develop strategic engagement plans and represent the company’s interests to internal and external stakeholders.

  • You have an established external and intelligence network to support our business objectives. You’ll also provide counsel to business leaders and other key internal stakeholders on regulations and issues, with a bias for action to drive solutions.
  • You will monitor policy developments and provide timely analysis on geo-political, economic and societal developments, and offer insights on macro policy and the regulatory landscape.
  • You will evaluate and interpret new and emerging policies or regulations to identify the needs and develop advocacy plans.
  • You will support senior executive engagement and advise on the political and geo-political landscape, provide strategic vision, and work collaboratively with other internal teams (both global/local) to develop advocacy positions that are consistent with corporate objectives and business priorities.
  • You will be a part of the Singapore P&GA team, to support or lead in external-facing activities, including but not limited to government, trade associations, academia, etc.
  • You will provide regular policy updates and interpretations to the local and global teams, the country leadership team and relevant business lines.
