Senior Physiotherapist |Acute Medical Care Full-time, Permanent Position Bon Secours Hospital Cork has been a trusted provider of exceptional healthcare for over 100 years. We are now seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Acute Medical Team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to manage a wide range of acute medical conditions across various specialties including Respiratory, Neurology, Elderly Care, Cardiology and Rheumatology. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality inpatient physiotherapy care collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes. The role will also require covering respiratory weekends which includes CCU. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert physiotherapy care across the acute medical spectrum, with a focus on respiratory, neurology, cardiology, elderly care and rheumatology. Manage complex patient cases, ensuring the highest standard of clinical care and rehabilitation and discharge planning. Provide respiratory cover at weekends which includes ICU. Work closely with medical teams to create tailored treatment plans for patients. Maintain a flexible and proactive approach to care, responding to the changing needs of the department. Candidate Requirements: CORU membership is essential. Extensive experience in acute medical care, including in areas such as respiratory, neurology, elderly care cardiology and rheumatology Experience in ICU and covering respiratory weekends as required Experience in vestibular rehabilitation. Post-graduate courses or CPD relevant to acute medical conditions is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
