Description

This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ in Richmond, CA. In-office expectation is 3 days a week.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Graphic and Motion Designer that provides graphic design and production needs for projects that support all Marketing disciplines. This individual works cross functionally with the Marketing, Product, Wholesale and Ecommerce teams.
The expectation of this role is to work closely with internal and external partners, ensuring visual concepts are created to support strategic brand and product marketing initiatives. This role will have complete oversight of the marketing look and feel, including budgetary, structural, and agency and partner responsibilities. This role will report to the MHW Art Director.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or experience.
  • 5+ years professional experience as a Graphic Designer minimum. Outdoor or fashion industry, marketing team or creative agency experience preferred.
  • A link to a portfolio of work demonstrative of design fundamentals, layout chops, and creative sensibilities required in resume or application.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of industry and market requirements; design appropriate graphics and create appropriate content for target consumers and retailers that result in sales growth for the company.
  • Excellence in Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect, Premier, etc.), Apple Keynote and MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and Figma, with the ability to envision a finished product and execute accordingly.
  • Strong motion design skills and ability to maintain and progress MHW brand motion behaviors (speed/personality/pacing) utilizing Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier.
  • Possess basic hands-on graphic skills such as drawing, cutting, measuring, along with excellence and proficiency in typographic hierarchy, grid systems, editorial layout and custom icon creation for strategic brand solutions.
  • Must have an excellent understanding and critical attention to detail for print, digital production and color.
  • High level of ownership of responsibilities, forward thinker, always working towards elevating brand opportunities.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, focus and problem solve in an entrepreneurial, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills in order to work with remote team seamlessly.
  • Experience in related outdoor or sporting industry is beneficial. A strong connection to and understanding of outdoor mountain activities a plus (bouldering, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, trail running)

Salary Range: $81,400 - $136,000
