Senior Graphic Designer Vancouver, BC (Hybrid) Full-Time, Permanent Hybrid (3 days a week at the office) Work Location: Native Shoes is a hybrid organization based in Vancouver, BC. Employees on the marketing team located in the Greater Vancouver Area are expected to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, with some flexibility when situations arise. We are the before and after everything footwear brand. What We’re Looking For At Native Shoes the Senior Graphic Designer needs to both lead and execute. You will play a key role in developing and deploying the visual ecosystem of our brand across all channels and platforms, with a focus on design for product marketing initiatives and brand experiences online and in-store. You will own the design direction and production of high-impact creative across our DTC ecosystem (web, email, social, paid), while also helping evolve our brand through art direction and campaign development. What You’ll Do Lead art direction for seasonal initiatives and key brand moments, translating strategy into design solutions that deliver across channels Lead design conception and execution across DTC channels, including web, email, social and paid media. Manage the output of our inhouse studio and network of creative freelancers. Mentor and elevate the Intermediate Graphic Designer through feedback and guidance. Contribute creative ideas and solutions to brainstorming sessions and design meetings, actively participating in the development of design concepts and strategies. Translate creative briefs and brand guidelines into high-quality design solutions that align with our brand aesthetic and standards. Manage and prioritize multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard of quality. Stay informed on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design capabilities and stay ahead of the curve Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field 7+ years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on branding, layout, illustration, color theory, typography and motion design. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and other design software. Experience with animation, illustration, motion design, and UX/UI considered a plus Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and campaigns, with an emphasis on creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Digital design experience – an extensive understanding of how to take a concept and deliver the right design solution to fit a variety of channels and use cases Layout and print design experience - everything from knowledge of printing techniques to file preparation Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proven ability to take initiative, solve problems, and work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team setting. Passion for design and a desire to push creative boundaries and drive innovative design solutions.
