It was built as a place for locals and tourists to have fun and create lasting memories. The outdoor courtyard regularly hosts a variety of free events and family entertainment throughout the year. Arizona Boardwalk is located within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and is part of the Talking Stick Entertainment District. About the Job: Arizona Boardwalk is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to create engaging design for the destination. This person must be well-rounded in design skills including print, digital, and exhibit design. This is a fast-paced, ever-changing, and evolving environment. Candidate will work collaboratively with the Marketing Team and Attraction Teams and will report to the VP of Marketing. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team and Attraction Teams on a broad range of projects to drive attendance and guest satisfaction at Arizona Boardwalk attractions. Projects include the creation and production of advertisements (print, digital, and out of home), exhibit and operational signage, brochures, event design, website design, email campaigns, and more. Manage multiple projects from conceptualization through completion, including design and managing print production. Implement a high level of design standards, creating aesthetic solutions that are visually stunning and effective that enhance the guest experience throughout the destination. Continue developing and maintaining brand/style guidelines for all the attractions. Be able to interpret creative requests and follow up with requestor. Must be willing to work extended and alternative hours to meet deadlines and cover events or other happenings at the destination, which includes some evenings and weekends. Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 6 years (in-house or agency) of proven experience as a professional graphic designer. Only candidates with a strong portfolio will be considered. Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Design, or a related field from an accredited art school or university with significant course work in graphic design. Strong understanding of the production skills and processes with a solid knowledge of graphic design principles, various printing techniques, and broad working knowledge of designing for web and digital assets. Knowledge of design principles, including layout, typography, color, balance, composition, hierarchy with an eagle eye for details. Fluent and efficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and XD. Video editing and motion design is a plus. Candidate must possess strong Photoshop skills, with a concentration on image correction, clipping masks, and photo manipulation. Candidate must be an excellent communicator and be able to present concepts to business leaders at each attraction as well as to the marketing department. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PPT, and some Excel. Must be able to build presentations in PPT/Keynote. Ability to manage multiple projects creatively, efficiently, and thoroughly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience working with outside print vendors and has a strong working knowledge of prepress production, including file setup, color modes, bleeds, trims, and preparing press-ready files. Good team player who works collaboratively with co-workers and brings a positive and passionate attitude. Entrepreneurial spirit with “get it done” mentality. Willing to roll up your sleeves and figure it out without a lot of guidance or handholding, with proven prioritization and decision-making abilities.
