  • Insurance Expertise: 5 years of experience in group benefits insurance, ideally in analyst or underwriting roles, with hands-on involvement in renewal negotiations and plan marketing processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with broker management systems (e.g., Epic), intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and exposure to benefit plans like ASO and HSA is an asset.
  • Education & Credentials: Relevant insurance designations or licenses (LLQP preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Relationship-Driven Approach: Strong knowledge of major Canadian markets and relationships with insurers (e.g., Manulife, Canada Life, Desjardins).
  • Organizational Excellence: Outstanding time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills in fast-paced settings.
  • Passion for Growth: A proactive mindset and drive to continuously develop technical and professional expertise

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Benefits Analyst to join our Employee Benefits and Retirement Practice. You’ll be working closely with Account Managers, producers, and underwriters, delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support Clients & Teams: Collaborate with Account Managers to service a diverse book of employee benefits business, ensuring accurate and timely documentation for renewals, updates, and marketing.
  • Partnering with assigned Account Managers and Producers to service and retain the existing employee benefits book of business by ensuring that all documentation is accurate and processed in a timely fashion;
  • Analyze & Recommend: Prepare renewal projections, review plan options, and deliver actionable insights to optimize client benefits programs.
  • Lead Marketing Processes: Manage marketing submissions, respond to underwriter inquiries, negotiate terms and rates with carriers, and deliver strategic recommendations tailored to client goals.
  • Streamline Operations: Maintain and organize client files in the broker management system while adhering to compliance standards.
  • Enhance Client Experience: Troubleshoot complex client claims, deliver proactive solutions, and support benefits plan administration.
  • Drive Growth: Assist in cross-selling HUB’s benefits products, prepare new business quotes, and support producers in presenting to clients.
