Job Description – Senior Group Sales Manager Hotel Emma is seeking passionate, service driven candidates for the position of Senior Group Sales Manager. Primary Responsibilities: Duties are as follows but not limited to: 1. Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed business travel revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication. 2. Advanced level of producing group business revenue through directly soliciting business via aggressive prospecting, making presentations, developing contracts, negotiating and closing sales. 3. Maximize revenue by selling the story of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients. 4. Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments’ participation in servicing accounts 5. Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account. 6. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers. 7. Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required. 8. Able to Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings at least twice a quarter. 9. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. 10. Perform any other job related duties as assigned. Job Requirements: 1. Assist Director of Global Sales with specified projects as needed. 2. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  3. 5+ years of past group sales experience preferred. 4. Luxury Hotel experience preferred. 5. Advanced knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the hotel. 6. Must have experience in group sales at a similar size and quality hotel. 7. Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi. Advanced knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, training, and motivation of peers. 8. Knowledge of hotel operations. 9. Command of the English language both written and verbal.
