  • Degree and/or equivalent in social work, health, behavioural sciences or related discipline.
  • Available to travel throughout NSW and to undertake after hours work where required.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Guardian is responsible for delivering quality guardianship services to our customers. This role involves making decisions in line with policy and the Guardianship Act 1987 (NSW), maintaining accurate customer records, undertaking individual and systemic advocacy to achieve positive outcomes for our customers preparing accurate reports and recommendations to senior officers.

  • Make decisions in line with policies, within the Senior Guardian delegation level and authority from the Guardianship Division, to best serve the interests of our customers.
  • Ensure the exchange of information with represented people, family, and key stakeholders is accurate and timely and at all times compliant with relevant legislations.
  • Required to conduct visits to people represented by the Public Guardian in line with the Guardianship Standards.
