Our renowned Joh Bailey salon in Double Bay NSW is hiring an experienced hairdresser to work more actively with colouring. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Applying permanent and semi-permanent hair colours, toners and treatments according to customer desires and in compliance with safety procedures.
· Leading in keratin application, extension removal, re-tapes extensions, formal hair blow-dry.
· Providing treatments like conditioning, scalping massages, and treatments for hair loss or thinning hair.
· Using scissors, razors, and clippers to trim and shape hair based on clients’ preferences and following current hairstyles and trends.
· Creating a variety of styles using tools such as blow-dryers, straighteners, curling irons, and rollers.
· Discussing hairstyle options, providing advice on hair care, and recommending products based on hair types and conditions.
· Cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining hairdressing tools and equipment to adhere to health and hygiene regulations.
· Ensuring the work area is clean and tidy to provide a welcoming environment for clients.
· Staying updated with the latest trends, techniques, and products in the hair industry through workshops and courses.
· Hold a Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or a Certificate IV or at least 3 years of work experience.
· Have must have international experience.
· Have good communication skills, creativity, dexterity, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
· Preferred if candidate speaks multiple languages.
· Preferred if candidate has expertise in training others in keratin application.
The position is a full-time role averaging 38 hours per week. The salary in offer ranges between $70,000 and $90,000.
