QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5 years’ of prior work experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 3 years’ of prior work experience.
  • Experience with Microwave / RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
  • Experience in failure analysis / Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations; Preferably with supplier and factory issues.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters.
  • Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, which includes yield and margin analysis.
  • Technical writing and formal presentation experience.
  • Experience working in both engineering design and production environments
  • Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and Advanced Design System (ADS).
  • Technical background in any of the following areas:
  • Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning
  • Filter design and fabrication
  • Circuit card assembly and fabrication
  • High speed data converter test / characterization
  • Low Noise RF source design and test experience

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support the technical investigation and resolution of design, build, and test issued identified on Receiver Exciter subsystems, CCAs, and components.
  • RF/Microwave circuit and sub-system design, modeling, simulation, and verification.
  • Integration and test at component, CCA, and subsystem levels.
  • Transition to production and technical support to manufacturing and test engineers.
  • Support small project or processes improvements within area of responsibility.
  • Participate in circuit card and subassembly design updates to resolve obsolescence and producibility issues.
  • This role is 100% on-site and will be based in Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA. Travel is to be anticipated between multiple sites including Andover, MA and Woburn, MA.
