Description
About Mentee Robotics At Mentee Robotics, we are redefining humanoid automation with an AI-first approach — integrating cutting-edge perception, reasoning, and dexterous control into a fully autonomous humanoid robot. Our flagship system, Menteebot v3, is engineered for seamless operation in industrial, logistics, and retail environments, capable of learning and adapting in real time. We’re now expanding our Electronics team and looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to take a key role in designing the electrical systems that drive and control the Menteebot’s physical intelligence. Responsibilities Design and develop complex custom PCBs for robotic systems — including: Motor drivers Power units and power management units Sensor interfaces and digital communication systems Lead hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation processes in the lab. Interface directly with embedded software, mechanical, AI, and control teams to ensure full-stack integration and high system performance. Define board-level test plans and validation procedures. Develop and support EtherCAT, FDCAN, CANBus, and other real-time communication interfaces across the system. Drive component selection, schematic design, layout reviews, BOM management, and production documentation. Conduct layout and Gerber file reviews, and manage DFM/DFT feedback from external PCB layout vendors. Collaborate with PCB manufacturers and assembly vendors to support prototype and production runs. Contribute to continual improvement in design reliability, signal integrity, and system-level efficiency.rovement in design reliability, signal integrity, and system-level efficiency. Requirements B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent proven experience). 7+ years of experience in hardware design for multidisciplinary robotic systems, mechanics, automation, embedded systems and robotic motors. Proven track record designing and developing discrete motor control and actuation drivers, High current power DCDC inverters and power distribution circuits. Proven hands-on experience with industrial communication standard interfaces such as EtherCAT, FDCAN,CANBus, RS485, SPI, I2C and USB. Proven experience in developing analog and digital circuit design. Proven experience in schematic & Board Layout design with Altium Designer (OrCAD acceptable if willing to work in Altium). Experience with lab bring-up, validation, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeter, current probes and other test equipment. Experience with writing and maintaining design documentation such as BOM, test procedure. Advantages Bonus Points Experience with: High-speed digital design and signal integrity EMI/EMC design and mitigation Multi-layer PCB design for motion systems DFM/DFT best practices and production support FPGA integration or microcontroller subsystems
Responsibilities
The Senior Hardware Engineer will design and develop complex custom PCBs for robotic systems and lead hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation processes. They will interface with various teams to ensure full-stack integration and high system performance.
