Description
SAIC seeks an experienced Hardware Engineer Senior to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Job Duties: Perform electrical and mechanical (signal, power & thermal) analysis at the rack level. Generation of engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams and custom cable assemblies. Analysis of supplier LRUs, including step-file and 3D model review and compliance to specifications. Ability to support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex communications systems. Provide lab and site integration, test, and maintenance support and troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining sub-systems. Bachelors and five plus (5+) years’ experience Active Secret Clearance Experience in designing new or modifying existing products, developing technical specifications for production, analyzing hardware configuration and processing solutions, and testing hardware conformance to specifications Desired: Experience sustaining GBRs, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR. Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise. Knowledge of VICD, part assemblies, rack elevations, shake and vibe Experience with SolidWorks
