Tasks Scale up the core firmware embedded engineering team Drive the evolution of our firmware platform — new features, performance breakthroughs, and expanded sensory capabilities Work hand-in-hand with our software engineers to perfect the firmware ↔ app interface Architect and maintain a cutting-edge firmware stack prioritized for ultra-low latency, stability, and power efficiency Select and integrate embedded tech, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols that push the limits of gaming haptics Optimize system for component costs and assembly/production costs Oversee code quality, documentation, and testing rigor across the entire firmware pipeline Support certification processes with external testing labs Provide technical support during OEM partner integrations, prototype iteration, and production ramp-up Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a comparable background. German (min B2-level) or English fluency in verbal or written language is required Several years of hands-on experience developing firmware/embedded software — ideally in consumer electronics, audio devices, robotics, or gaming hardware. Deep command of C/C++; Python or Rust is a plus. Strong experience with RTOS, BLE, USB, audio/haptic signal processing, or sensor/actuator integration. Experience building or leading engineering teams is highly beneficial. Solid understanding of agile development (Scrum/Kanban). Clear, concise communicator with strong ownership and a solutions-driven mindset. Passion for gaming, haptics, eSports, and building products that deliver a visceral, unforgettable user experience is a plus.
