THE ROLE

Our Planning Industry Assessments team is currently looking for a Senior Hazards Officer to join and play a key role in assessing and advising on projects ranging from hydrogen and clean fuel facilities to data centres, battery energy storage systems, and high-pressure pipelines. In this role, you’ll provide expert, high-quality advice on land use safety risk, ensuring developments align with planning objectives and public safety standards.
This is a dynamic role where you’ll critically review technical risk assessments, contribute to policy development, and collaborate with key stakeholders across government and industry like SafeWork NSW and Fire and Rescue NSW. You’ll guide applicants through the planning process—from early scoping to post-approval—while influencing strategic planning outcomes across the state.
