SENIOR HCA NEEDED FOR CARE HOMES - RETFORD DN22 & MORTON DN21

IMPORTANT - Applicants must have Level 3 NVQ (or similar) in health care - Certificates should be presented upon request in order to support your interview. 1 Year plus working in care homes preferred.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Caregivers to join our team and support our clients in care homes throughout Retford and Morton. As a Senior Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to individuals who require support with daily activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Support the on duty nurse
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Monitor and report any changes in client’s condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Help with light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and laundry
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Implement behavior management techniques when necessary
- Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or memory loss
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Caregiver or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare procedures
- Familiarity with nursing home regulations and protocols
- First aid certification is required
- Ability to administer medication accurately and safely
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Zero hours contract
Pay: £13.50 per hour
