As we continue to grow and enhance our services, we are seeking passionate individuals dedicated to delivering exceptional palliative and end of life care.
About the Role: The journey towards end of life is often complex. At Mary Ann Evans Hospice, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standard of care and support to patients and their families. We strive to extend our reach to as many people as possible, providing compassionate care whenever and wherever it is needed.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience working in health care as a HCA.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional palliative and end of life care
  • Current driving licence with access to a vehicle for role-related duties
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dedicated team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development, with a willingness to undertake further study.
  • Experience in palliative and end of life care is preferred but not essential. Most importantly, candidates must be passionate about delivering and improving high-quality palliative and end of life care within the community.

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Excellent communication skills to build strong, effective relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals at all levels across the healthcare sector.
  • A commitment to personalised care, ensuring patients and their families are actively involved in decision-making about their health and wellbeing.
  • Confidence and competence in IT, including the use of electronic patient records systems such as EMIS (training will be provided).
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within Mary Ann Evans Hospices community care team.
