Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a care home in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supervising and supporting the care staff, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. Duties: - Supervise and lead a team of care assistants, providing guidance and support - Assist with the development and implementation of care plans for residents - Administer medication and ensure proper documentation - Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals - Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting - Support residents with mobility needs, using manual handling techniques when required - Provide emotional support and companionship to residents - Maintain accurate records of care provided - Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other members of the care team Skills: - Previous experience in a senior care role within a care home setting - Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team - Proficient IT skills for documentation purposes - Valid driver’s licence for occasional transportation needs - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Knowledge of senior care practices and regulations - Ability to develop and implement person-centered care plans We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career advancement within our organization.
