We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Senior Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our patients/residents, supporting the nursing team, and mentoring junior staff. REQUIREMENTS:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of [2-3+] years of experience in a healthcare or residential care setting.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, infection control, and person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to providing high standards of care.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality personal care and support to patients/residents in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and meals.
  • Monitor and record patients’ conditions, reporting any changes to the nursing or medical team.
  • Support and supervise junior care assistants and act as a role model within the team.
  • Administer medication (if trained and authorized) and assist in medical tasks under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and ensure compliance with care standards and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all patients/residents.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality assurance initiatives.
