SENIOR HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT

Location: Northumberland
Hours: Full Time – Days or Nights
Pay Rate: £12.95 – £14.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team, providing high standards of care across various healthcare settings in Northumberland.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Essential)
  • Previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant within a care home (Essential)
  • A transferable DBS certificate is desirable (not essential)
  • Ability to manage medication and care planning responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, calm under pressure, and adaptable to different environments
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high standards of care
  • Access to personal transport is desirable but not required
  • Willingness to work across multiple care settings depending on client needs

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant with Pin Point Health and Social Care, you will play a vital role in supporting residents’ wellbeing through compassionate care, medication administration, and leadership within your team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Delivering exceptional, person-centred care in line with individual care plans
  • Administering medication and maintaining accurate records
  • Acting as a key worker for a designated group of residents
  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and care teams
  • Maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of all service users
  • Assisting with domestic duties as required
  • Demonstrating a professional, flexible, and caring approach in every assignment
  • Liaising regularly with Home Managers and care staff to ensure continuity of care
