JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a nursing home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with senior care staff to implement care plans and assist residents with daily activities. EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates who are eager to learn.
• Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and communication within the care home environment is beneficial.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, particularly in supervising or mentoring junior staff members, will be considered an asset.
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to elderly individuals is crucial for this role.

• Monday to Friday

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behaviour to the supervising staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to hygiene standards.
• Engage with residents through meaningful conversation and activities to promote their mental well-being.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
• Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care.
