ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a compassionate and driven Senior Health Link Coordinator to join our dedicated Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, and Boater (GRTB) Service team and help make a lasting impact on the lives of Travelling Communities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in partnership with healthcare providers to tackle health inequalities and improve access to essential services. Your work will centre around increasing awareness and uptake of health interventions, with a strong focus on severe mental health, cancer screening, and early intervention.
In this leadership role, you’ll manage one team member and a group of enthusiastic volunteers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. You’ll also work closely with internal colleagues and external partners to deliver a joined-up, person-centred service that meets the unique needs of our clients.
If you’re passionate about health equity and thrive in a role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on support, we’d love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage Referrals: Oversee and track referrals to the service, ensuring clients receive timely, appropriate and person-centred support.

  • Build Strong Relationships: Engage with healthcare providers to foster meaningful partnerships and help break down barriers to working effectively with Travelling communities.

  • Deliver Cultural Awareness Training: Provide tailored training sessions to healthcare professionals, enhancing their understanding and confidence in delivery inclusive care.

  • Coordinate Collaborative Strategies: Work with providers to develop joined-up, culturally appropriate engagement approaches that promote update of relevant health services.
