DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Senior HST Advisor to join the team at our Woodie Woodie Mine Site, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara.

Reporting to the Superintendent, the successful applicant will be required to:

  • Working with a B2B Senior, you will Lead a team of H&S Advisors, ESO/Medics and Health and Lifestyle Coordinators.
  • Assist in the creation and coordination of the Company, Sites and Teams Health and Safety Plan that is aligned with proactively reducing exposure and adding value to the Safety culture of the site and its employees.
  • Ensure that a risk-based approach to health and safety is achieved across the allocated operations.
  • Maintain systems, processes and data to monitor and report on safety and health performance to meet internal and external needs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Lead investigations where required. Coach others during investigations and prepare necessary reports.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards and procedures, working to develop recommendations and actions.
  • Be a key part of the development of direct reports through ongoing coaching and mentoring.

Skills & Qualifications required to be successful in this role:
3+ years’ experience in similar role/s within the resources industry
Tertiary qualifications in OH&S or related fields
ICAM or other investigative qualification
Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing safety peers
Strong understanding of risk management principles with an ability to develop and implement effective control measures
Emergency Response qualifications and experience preferred
Cert IV Healthcare Ambulance or similar qualification is desirable
Current C Class Driver’s license
High level of computer literacy, particularly INX, Pronto and MS office suite preferred
