QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience is required and the desire and passion to work with vulnerable people needing your care and attention is essential.
· Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent NVQ/QCF L3 (or equivalent recognised qualification or experience)
· Experience of working in Neurorehabilitation

· Develop and maintain relationships with residents’ families, friends, advocates and neighbours.
· In conjunction with Home Manager/Nurse-in-Charge, establish and regularly review care practice standards in the Home.
· Undertake direct care tasks as necessary together with Health Care Assistants (HCA) to ensure tasks are carried out in an appropriate manner and participate in shift working.
· To provide daily supervision and support to HCAs working with you.
· Contribute to the documentation, care planning and assessment of care needs for residents, the implementation, review and evaluation of resident’s care plans and risk assessments and participation in the development, training and supervision of junior staff.
