We are seeking two experienced Heritage Advisors, at Senior and Intermediate levels, to join our growing NSW Heritage Team.  This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your career while helping to grow GHD’s heritage capability and service offering across NSW. As part of experienced and well-established national Heritage team, you will support and deliver projects of varied scale and complexity, both within NSW and nationally. Based at any GHD NSW or ACT office, this role offers genuine flexibility and autonomy, and you’ll be encouraged and supported to focus on areas of heritage practice you are passionate about.  Working with an energetic and high performing team, your role will include: * Providing heritage advice and approvals processes for a diverse range of projects in NSW and nationally * Delivering projects across the property and buildings, transport, water, energy and resources and environment sectors. * Investigating and reporting on a wide range of heritage matters, including statutory approvals and consultation with Traditional Owners, through field and desktop work. * Maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal specialists, sub-consultants, Commonwealth and State Government Departments, Agencies and Local Councils. * Supporting the ongoing development of our team’s technical skills through mentorship * The opportunity to work on meaningful projects alongside industry leaders in heritage and environmental consulting What will you bring to the team? * A Bachelor’s degree, with Honours or post graduate qualifications in archaeology, cultural heritage management, conservation architecture or a related discipline. * Approximately 6 and 12 years’ experience across heritage approval processes in NSW * Experience working with other State or Territory heritage legislation and approvals frameworks (favourable). * Eligibility to meet the requirements of a Heritage Advisor under Section 189(1) of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006, and The Minister’s Guidelines on Appropriate Qualifications for Heritage Advisors (essential). * Experience in a consulting environment, with a strong ability to build positive client relationships and contribute to business development.
