Provide technical leadership by reviewing, checking, and approving engineering outputs such as calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications. Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and ensure integration of highways design with structures, drainage, traffic, geotechnical, and utilities teams. Support project delivery and governance, including technical risk management, Safety in Design, client engagement, and construction-phase support (RFIs and site queries). Qualifications The qualities that help you thrive The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification. 5–10+ years of experience in highways or road infrastructure design and delivery. Strong knowledge of Australian standards and road authority requirements (e.g., Austroads, MRWA, TfNSW, TMR). Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent preferred, with experience mentoring engineers and supporting complex infrastructure projects.
