Job Description We are looking for a Senior Homologation Specialist to join our team as a consultant. In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor on current and future local legislative matters relating to automotive design, manufacturing, and functionality for global markets. As a senior member of the team, you will apply advanced technical knowledge to secure certificates, manage complex certification processes, and act as a primary liaison with public authorities. You will be expected to work independently, manage high-level projects, and provide coaching to junior professionals within the team. About the Team You will join a specialized certification team of approximately ten engineers within the Global Automotive Technology division. While based in Gothenburg, the team operates in a highly international environment, collaborating closely with offices in Poland, Brazil, and Mexico. The role involves direct interaction with body builder customers and various internal stakeholders to ensure seamless product compliance. Key Responsibilities Documentation & Certification: Prepare and submit technical documentation for regulatory approvals and manage the publication of new/updated certificates. Project Representation: Act as the regulatory lead within new product development projects to ensure all statutory and mandatory requirements are met from the start. Test Coordination: Organize and oversee certification tests and evaluations in partnership with testing teams, technical services, and type approval authorities. Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for automotive regulations, providing critical guidance to engineering and project management teams. Compliance Monitoring: Track product changes and updates to ensure continuous compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Qualifications Mandatory Qualifications: 5+ years of direct experience working with automotive regulations. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Full professional proficiency in English, with experience working in an international business context. Meritorious Skills: Proven experience as a Compliance Owner or Responsible party. In-depth knowledge of UNR automotive regulations and WVTA (Whole Vehicle Type Approval). Prior experience in Project Management. Familiarity with industry systems such as KOLA, VDA, VDB, CDM, or CDS. Personal Profile We are looking for a "doer" with high energy and a meticulous eye for detail. You should have a genuine interest in studying technical information and legal statutes. Because this role involves significant stakeholder management, you must be a trustworthy collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to drive tasks forward independently.
