Join the City of Medicine Hat as a Senior Hospitality Lead
Temporary, Part Time, On Site
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? The City of Medicine Hat is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Hospitality Lead to manage concession operations at our Community Development Facilities. In this key role, you’ll oversee staff, ensure seamless food and beverage services, build strong relationships with Premium Seating Clients, and maintain high operational standards, all while contributing to our vibrant community.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of Grade 12 or High School equivalency diploma.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Food Services, including supervisory experience.
- Certification in safe food handling (e.g., Food Safe) and alcohol service (e.g., ProServe).
- Certification as a Certified Concession Manager (CCM) is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other current office software.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and schedule concession staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure operational efficiency and positive customer experiences.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with Premium Seating Clients, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.
- Manage menu planning, inventory control, ordering supplies, and cash handling, ensuring all procedures align with City of Medicine Hat policies.
- Ensure food service equipment is maintained, and environmental, health, and safety standards are upheld, including FOODSAFE and Pro Serve compliance.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Supervisor on staff recruitment, performance management, and training.
- Coordinate catering and set-up requirements for special events, ensuring high-quality food services.
- Ensure timely completion of required paperwork, including forms, reports, schedules, and cash receipts.
- Support communication between Food & Beverage staff, particularly during high-capacity events, to promote problem solving and operational efficiency.
