  Housing Advice and Homelessness has never been more challenging or exciting. The recent declaration of a Housing Crisis in both South Hams and West Devon has resulted in a renewed focus and drive to find creative and innovative solutions to housing need across our area.
  In response to the increased demand for accommodation and housing services, we have rapidly expanded our temporary housing property portfolio and we now need a dynamic well organised accommodation officer to manage these properties. Working in accordance with best practice, ensuring efficient allocation, and management of accommodation for the prevention and relief of homelessness in accordance with statutory requirements and powers.
  As a team we pride ourselves on finding creative solutions to often very complex problems and we encourage innovation in all areas of our work. If you think you have the drive, the enthusiasm and the people skills to achieve the best outcomes for this customer group; then we will provide the support, the training and the team for you to achieve this.
  You will need to be prepared to travel, and to work independently in the field as well as part of our wider housing team. The post attracts an essential car user allowance and travel and subsistence allowances. We can offer genuine flexible working, with a significant proportion of the role to be homeworking.
