QUALIFICATIONS:

CIPD Level 5 professional qualification (Level 7 desirable)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of taking a proactive role in the delivery of HR processes and procedures, and of working collaboratively with business teams, supporting with both operational and strategic priorities
  • Case management and provision of advice in relation to disciplinaries, grievances, capability and absence management
  • Supporting strategic change management including restructuring and TUPE, and experience in staff consultation
  • Experience of supporting strategic HR projects
  • HR Reporting and Analytics

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders and employees
  • Strong coaching and advisory skills, with experience of handling complex employee relations cases
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Data driven mindset, with the ability to provide HR insights for decision making
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to cover a period of maternity leave of up to 12 months. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will provide professional HR generalist support and advice to Service Managers across the business and take a hands-on role within a trusted HR team, delivering a first class service to over 750 employees.
The role is based in Ellesmere Port, but working in a hybrid way, with a mixture of home and office working.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure Head of HR is supported sufficiently in their role, supervising the team and deputising in their absence.
  • Provide professional advice to Service Managers on all aspects and interpretation of HR strategy, policies, procedures, practice and terms and conditions of service to ensure that employees are managed in a fair and consistent way.
  • Management and implementation of HR projects and initiatives
  • In conjunction with the Head of HR develop and produce HR metric reports on a regular basic such as headcount, turnover, absence and demographic breakdown as appropriate.
  • Deliver training, briefing sessions and participate in workshops to support wider understanding of people management within the Company.
