Description

Role: Senior HR Advisor
Location: Office Based – Out of one of the following locations 4 days per week (Luton/Birmingham/London) with travel across your allocated area
Salary: £45,000 per annum, a car allowance of £5,500 plus benefits
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week)

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven experience in leading HR projects and driving positive change within the businesses
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and drive decision-making
  • Strong ethics, integrity, and customer focus, with proficiency in MS Office.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience; degree-level education.
  • Passion for data and has a strong understanding of HR Metrics with the ability to interpret and analyse HR and Business Data.
  • Proficiency in iTrent or similar HR systems, with a solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Solid experience in employee relations, including handling conduct, grievance, and organisational change.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, making informed decisions with limited information.

As a Senior HR Advisor, you will ensure the effective implementation of HR practices, provide focused solutions and lead projects that contribute to the success of the organisation. You will provide a high-quality, efficient and HR professional to support the managers and employees across your allocated area If you are passionate about making a positive HR impact, we would love to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing coaching to, and upskilling of, managers in HR best practices
  • Provide advice and guidance on complex employee relations (ER) cases, including disciplinary matters, grievances, absence management, and performance issues.
  • Proactively manage and resolve cases, ensuring fair, consistent outcomes while mitigating risk; escalating complex cases to the Head of HR and lead the case reviews.
  • Support the Heads of HR to instil a high-performance culture, developing and delivering on-boarding, talent and succession plans and ensuring teams are trained to deliver all elements of their job role to a high standard and provide a high-quality customer experience
  • Assist with the performance/talent management processes, contributing to the annual pay review.
  • Lead and support on key HR projects, including policy development, employee engagement and performance management initiatives.
  • Provide guidance during organisational changes, such as restructures, redundancies, and TUPE processes.
  • Stay up to date with changes in employment legislation to ensure compliance and best practice across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with the My HR, Payroll, and Benefits team to manage HR queries, delivering high-quality, timely, and professional HR advice
  • Support the development of, and mentor, HR Advisors and deputise for the Head of HR.
  • Work closely with the Learning and Development and Recruitment teams across your area.
