Description

Morgan Consulting is exclusively partnering with ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Australia to appoint an HR Officer to join their team in Bangholme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has built a solid HR foundation and is now looking to broaden their experience, take on more responsibility and continue developing their career.

Reporting directly to an experienced and supportive Head of HR, you'll gain exposure across recruitment, employee relations, projects, stakeholder support and broader advisory work. While there is a hands-on operational component, this isn't a role where you'll be boxed into administration. For the right person, there is a genuine opportunity to grow with the business.

What you'll be doing

The role will provide HR support across Australia and New Zealand, working closely with leaders, employees, payroll and the broader global HR function.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment across corporate and operational roles
  • Acting as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries and supporting leaders with HR processes and policies
  • Supporting lower-risk employee relations matters, including attendance, performance and general case management
  • Maintaining HRIS data and employee documentation and producing regular HR reporting
  • Working closely with payroll to ensure employee changes are processed accurately
  • Supporting onboarding, probation reviews and broader employee lifecycle activities
  • Coordinating learning and development activities and helping identify training opportunities
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, recognition programs and people projects
  • Working closely with the Head of HR on broader initiatives as your experience and confidence develop

The role will have a strong focus on recruitment alongside broader HR operations, with plenty of opportunity to build capability through projects, case management and wider HR exposure.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone proactive, capable and keen to develop.

You don't need to come in as a finished HR professional. What matters is having the right foundations, a willingness to learn and the confidence to take ownership.

You'll ideally bring around 3–5 years of experience within HR, People & Culture or a similar generalist environment, with a good understanding of the employee lifecycle and exposure to HR operations.

More importantly, you'll be someone who:

  • Takes ownership and follows things through
  • Is proactive and comfortable putting their hand up to take on more
  • Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work
  • Builds genuine relationships with leaders and employees
  • Is comfortable across both the administrative and people-focused sides of HR
  • Can manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Is curious, willing to learn and knows when to ask for guidance
  • Brings ideas and looks for better ways of doing things
  • Wants to build a long-term career and continue developing their HR capability

Experience with SuccessFactors would be advantageous, although broader HRIS experience and strong systems capability will also be highly regarded.

What's on offer

  • Join a global organisation with the opportunity to make a genuine impact locally
  • Work closely with an experienced Head of HR who is committed to developing their team
  • Gain broader exposure across HR, employee relations, recruitment, projects and advisory work
  • Bring forward ideas and contribute to local initiatives, backed by global HR systems and resources
  • Hybrid working with three days in the office and two days from home
  • Genuine long-term development and career progression for the right person
