Responsibilities

WHAT’S THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to provide solid HR support, to both employees and Managers across the whole of the employee lifecycle. Improving what’s already in place, and developing and implementing new HR processes that haven’t been done yet. Working as a trusted HR partner and coach to the business, and supporting the HoHR with strategic people and change initiatives.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional who likes to put their own stamp on things, to join a relatively new HR department, in a fast-paced growing business with a big change agenda.
This is a full time, permanent site-based role with remote support and occasional travel to other UK locations required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide robust advice and support to managers on HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
  • Build leadership capability, by providing managers with training, tools and techniques for people processes.
  • Coaching and training to develop managers skills, for effectively dealing with employee issues and managing change.
  • Reviewing current processes and practices, such as absence management, performance reviews etc, in line with policy to ensure effectiveness and consistent application.
  • Support and advise on all ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
  • Support the HoHR in the development and delivery of added value HR projects and initiatives, including, talent management, and change programmes.
  • Lead the site people plan activities in partnership with Operations, looking at synergies and best practice.
  • Own and develop the recruitment and onboarding process to build a culture of employee experience.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR trends, providing information to managers to ensure compliance.
  • Working with all people data to identify trends and gaps, recommending and delivering improvements.
  • Build and deliver an engagement and wellbeing agenda, with progress tracked against feedback and action.
  • Involvement in culture change, embedding and alignment across multiple areas.
  • Support and help develop the HR Administrator.
