Description
We are currently seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join our team. The Senior HR Business Partner provides strategic HR expertise to an assigned client group, through leadership and coaching to executives and senior leaders, to ensure the organization achieves its strategic goals. Provides advice and expertise on workforce planning, employee experience, culture, team effectiveness and change leadership, with talent management decisions/actions at the core. Influences decisions that balance the needs of the business with employee experience goals and practices; contributes to planning and executing the workforce/people strategy; and supports annual and long-term business objectives and key cross-regional initiatives.  Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day 1. Leadership: Provides HR expertise, professional advice, informal coaching and mentoring to members of the HR team. Contributes heavily to the development of the HR strategic plan, working closely with clients and the HR team to facilitate the implementation and sustainment of key HR programs, processes and initiatives. 2. Client Relationships: Builds effective relationships by proactively partnering with executive and senior leadership teams to understand the strategic business and people issues. Facilitates the exchange of thoughts and ideas and collaborates with the HR team and other key stakeholders to develop business plans and/or creative solutions to address them, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives. 3. HR Expertise: Provides advice and coaching to executive and senior leaders on key HR programs, processes and initiatives including workforce planning, change management, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, talent management, organizational design, team effectiveness, benefits and compensation, employee engagement. Leverages HR analytics to inform business decisions and initiatives. 4. Change Management: Proactively monitors related trends and best practices and facilitates change in the organization culture/structure to ensure alignment with the business strategy. Partners with executive and senior leaders and other internal stakeholders to identify and manage the impact of change. Provides supportive leadership in executing change within assigned region/client groups. 5. HR Projects/Initiatives: Leads or participates in key HR projects and initiatives that impact the organization in support of business goals. Strategically positions HR within organizational projects to positively impact organizational effectiveness and the employee experience.  Supports and collaborates with HR functional areas to ensure project objectives are delivered on budget and within established time frames. Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required * CHRP designation is preferred; certified coach designation considered an asset * Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in organizational development required; experience in the financial services industry is an asset * Demonstrated experience providing coaching and advisory support to senior leadership  * Strong project management experience * Knowledge and hands-on experience applying change management methodologies  * Demonstrated ability to diplomatically resolve complex issues and conflict, using sound judgement and decision-making * Proven ability to build strong and credible relationships with ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people. * Demonstrated ability to think strategically, coach and/or influence others and challenge the status quo * Strong business acumen  * Proficient with Microsoft and HR software programs * Knowledge of compensation  * Strong analytic capability * Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
