GENERAL SUMMARY INFORMATION
Under the supervision of the HR Manager, the Senior Human Resources Business Partner (SRHRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management through day-to-day interaction. The position formulates partnerships across the Island Energy Services Downstream business unit while delivering value-added service to management and employees.
Desired competencies include accuracy, attention to detail, and a proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high degree of professionalism. The ideal candidate must be able to establish priorities under tight deadlines and have a proven track record as a motivated, self-starter who can work on multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment. Incumbent is expected to have sound knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, and Microsoft Office Suite programs. Prior relevant experience in energy, manufacturing or retail industries are highly desirable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
1. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience.
2. Experience in strategic HR planning and/or participation in strategic HR initiatives.
3. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
4. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
5. SHRM CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification, desired.
6. Desire to grow professionally and proven ability to work in a very fast paced environment.

15. Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
16. Safety and security—the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
Desirable Skills
1. Determination and fortitude to learn and grow.
2. Microsoft Suite software.
3. Ceridian Dayforce HRIS software.
4. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Certified Senior Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within three years of employment (ten plus years of experience may substitute for certification).
Other Requirements
1. Willingness to commit to The Island Way (IES core values of): Kīnāʻole, Aloha, Lōkahi and Hoʻohana.
2. Pass background check including periodic job-related physical abilities testing as required.
3. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) within sixty days of hire.
4. This is a safety sensitive position and random drug testing is required.
5. Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
6. Willingness to devote the time as needed to meet project and task deadlines. Willingness to maintain or increase skills.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing an employee reference check, drug test, criminal background check and a five-year motor vehicle history check. This is an exempt position under FLSA regulations.
