Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
As the Principal HR Business Partners, you will be a strategic advisor and business enabler, ensuring that the People function is a driver of business success. You will lead and develop the HRBP function, aligning people strategy with the company’s rapid growth and business objectives.
You will partner with leaders across technical and non-technical functions to create a high-performance, mission-driven culture while managing key HR initiatives, workforce planning, leadership development, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead performance management to foster a high-performance culture while balancing transparency and cultural values.
  • Guide managers on talent development, promotions, and succession planning for key roles.
  • Work with business leaders to define and execute capability-building initiatives to ensure teams have the right skills for the company’s evolving needs.
  • Collaborates with the leadership team to ensure processes and frameworks with team-specific needs and business goals to drive effective execution across regions.
  • Advises and guides leadership team in aligning business strategy with HR initiatives, ensuring organizational design and talent management support growth.
  • Leads change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions as the company scales.
  • Drives management development through targeted training and development programs to support employee growth.
  • Coaches senior managers to effectively manage growing teams and ensures alignment and communication across global locations.
  • With leadership and managers, shapes company culture by fostering a culture that aligns with business outcomes and company values.

Background

  • 8+ years of experience in a people role, with a focus on HRBP, emphasising scaling organizations and supporting leadership in a global context.
  • Has led and developed teams across multiple regions
  • Experience in a scaling, high-growth company, preferably in tech, aerospace, deep tech, or engineering-driven industries.
  • Has proven to be able to manage change and guide organizations through periods of significant growth and transformation.
  • Has coached leadership teams/manager in their development and supported them in through growth challenges.
  • Has the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment with HR initiatives.
  • Has shown to be a hands-on leader with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and support a high-performing, fast-paced environment
