Under general direction, responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to business unit or corporate functional area which may include recruiting, selection, and staffing, employment and personnel documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits. Acts as a liaison between departments/companies, all levels of line and staff management, compensation and benefits department, legal counsel, and outside service providers. May coach less-experienced Human Resources Generalists. Role typically requires between 5 and 8 years of experience.
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to lead and enhance our human resources practices and processes. As the key contact for all employee-related matters, you will play a pivotal role in managing compensation, payroll, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and talent management.

SKILLS:

  • People-oriented and results-driven
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems, databases, and related technology
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills to a variety of audiences
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll, labor law, and HR best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field (required)
  • HR certification strongly preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SPHR
  • Proven 5-8 years minimum working experience and skills in human resources
  • Travel Requirements: 10%

Responsibilities
  • Partner with management and corporate to ensure strategic HR goals align with business initiatives
  • Manage employee relations, coaching, engagement, reviews, goals, development, and reward/recognition programs
  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies
  • Ensure job descriptions are current and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
  • Manage payroll, compensation, and benefits
  • Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keep the strategy current
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the team
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews
  • Maintain HR systems, data, and processes
  • Provide support and guidance to HR staff
  • Report to management and provide decision supported by HR metrics
  • Partner with the Group HR Team on any research, planning, and analysis phases of creating solutions to complex problems to ensure alignment and anticipation of HR needs within and across business units
