Title: Senior HR Manager
Location: Sedenak, Johor Bahru

Job Summary: The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes in Malaysia. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, capable of understanding and advising the business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in end-to-end HR management, including talent management, HR business partnering, and full-cycle HR processes. This position is fully in-office and will report directly to the Global HR Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end HR management and HR business partnering, with a focus on strategic HR initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with a track record of driving business success through HR initiatives.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) with matrix reporting structures, including managing multiple deviations and complex organizational charts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage HR functions at a national level, including large-scale workforce management and organizational development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and regulations, with a commitment to compliance and best practices.

    Pay: RM17,500.00 - RM26,500.00 per month

  • Strategic HR Leadership:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy to support rapid organizational growth and expansion.
  • Provide strategic HR advice to senior management and business leaders, ensuring HR initiatives are integrated with business objectives.
  • Drive organizational change initiatives, including workforce planning, restructuring, and cultural transformation to support expansion efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze HR trends and metrics to develop proactive solutions and strategies.
  • HR Business Partnering:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, understanding their needs and providing tailored HR solutions that drive business success.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop and implement HR initiatives that support business goals, including talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
  • Ensure alignment of HR practices with business objectives, fostering a strong partnership between HR and business leaders.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Talent Management:
  • Oversee the full talent management lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention, ensuring a steady flow of qualified candidates to support growth.
  • Develop and implement talent pipelining strategies to build a robust talent pool for current and future needs.
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning, to drive employee engagement and productivity.
  • Implement succession planning initiatives to ensure leadership continuity and development.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and retention.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner, promoting a harmonious work environment.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities, to enhance job satisfaction and productivity.
  • Conduct regular employee surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
  • HR Operations:
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements and best practices.
  • Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Continuously improve HR processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging technology and automation where possible.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effective HR solutions that support business objectives.
  • Commercial Acumen:
  • Understand the financial and commercial aspects of the business, providing insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to inform strategic decisions, including workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Develop and manage HR initiatives that drive business performance, including cost-saving measures, productivity improvements, and revenue-generating activities.
  • Collaborate with finance and other departments to ensure HR strategies are aligned with overall business goals.
  • Nationwide HR Management:
  • Manage HR functions across Malaysia, ensuring consistency and alignment with global HR policies and practices.
  • Lead HR initiatives for a large and diverse workforce, including recruitment, development, and retention strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and service providers.
  • Implement HR programs and initiatives that support the unique needs of the Malaysian workforce, including diversity and inclusion, employee wellness, and community engagement.
