Our Berlin Zehlendorf location needs a Senior HR leader that believes in the impact of being an HR Business partner and enjoys being part of a global team. This is an opportunity to join a leading global technology company that protects water quality around the world.
This HR leadership role partners with plant leadership at a complex and key manufacturing site. Having the agility to spend time on the production floor, to better understand the associate experience, and also partnering with our leadership team at the site and globally across Operations and HR is an important part of this role.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with 8+ years of broad HR experience, including HR team leadership in MNC and manufacturing/operational environments
  • Resilient, tenacious, and proactive problem solver who drives positive change and transforms culture, helping long-established businesses deliver great results through the adoption of strategic HR initiatives
  • Flexible, change-oriented an international perspective and sensitivity to influence leadership and help associates embrace positive change
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives, processes, or projects and navigating dispersed stakeholder groups with disparate interests
  • Experience consulting, coaching, and influencing leaders and managing expectations
  • Inspirational leader who develops, mentors and motivates their team
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills (fluent German & proficient English), emotional intelligence, collaboration and partnering skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Experience working with a Works Council and sound knowledge of labour law
Responsibilities
  • Partner with site leadership and Works Council to challenge the status quo and champion new initiatives within assigned client groups and within HR, acting as a catalyst of change and stimulating others to change, in such a way that the organization continuously develops towards better performance
  • Lead a focused team of 4 HR business partners/generalists
  • Support and/or lead the identification of opportunities for Standard Work definition and process enhancement
  • Coordinate involuntary/voluntary exit logistics (performing timely exit interviews, recording/synthesizing retention data, and generating severance packages, where applicable)
  • Partner with HR Service Center to enter data inputs in a timely manner in Workday for new, existing, and exiting associates. Create, maintain, and guarantee compliance of personnel files & systems
  • Additional tasks can encompass: Performance Management, Talent Development, rolling out global HR projects etc…
