We’re looking for a new Senior HSE Adviser to join our Safety team on a permanent basis. Based at our Derrimut location and reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you’ll lead the HSE function for VIC/SA and WA. About the role This is an exciting role which will give you the chance to lead the reinvigoration of our Safety offering. Working as part of a wider, dynamic team who have a deep commitment to WH&S, this role will have a broad remit including responsibility for providing advice, coaching and support to our management and leadership teams. You’ll be working in partnership with our Head of Health & Safety to develop and implement site Safety & Well-Being plans aligned to our company-wide strategy. In addition, you’ll manage the implementation of the GWA HSE management system (Safety One), and GWA Safety Reporting Systems for our VIC/SA and WA operations. About you Safety is at the heart of everything we do at GWA, and as such you’ll be an experienced practitioner who has worked in a similar level role for around five years, plus hold Certificate IV in WH&S (or equivalent) and Internal Lead Auditor qualifications (ISO 45001, ISO 9001 or ISO 14001). You will be an effective communicator with strong influencing skills and the ability to convey ideas and strategies to all levels of staff in our business. You will able to effectively interpret, draw conclusions and make decisions based on numerical information, plus have developed the skills to investigate and solve safety-based management issues across the organisation. With a solid foundation of personal credibility, professionalism, and integrity you will be able to build effective relationships across our business which further develop the culture of safety within our teams.
