You will be working a 3:3 roster with adhoc work in the Client offices In this role, you will work closely with the Client Site Representative (CSR) to monitor compliance with the project’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Plan. This position is integral in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, industry best practices, contractor procedures, and company HSE requirements while promoting a strong safety culture across all offshore operations. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety Leadership: Act as a key HSE support for the CSR on all offshore activities. Promote a proactive safety culture and lead by example in all operations. Provide HSE advice and guidance while reinforcing COMPANY safety expectations. Compliance & Assurance: Monitor contractor and vessel compliance with COMPANY HSE requirements and international/industry standards (e.g., IMCA). Ensure compliance with project HSE management plans and other contractual obligations. Oversee environmental compliance, including marine fauna observation, waste disposal, and hazardous materials management. Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA/JHA), and permit-to-work (PTW) processes. Conduct regular HSE inspections, safety walks, and site assurance activities. Risk Management: Review and provide input on risk assessments for offshore operations. Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, subsea tasks, SIMOPS, confined space entry, and hazardous materials management. Intervene and stop work where unsafe conditions or practices are found, ensuring alignment with client authority. Incident & Performance Management: Monitor incident reporting processes, unsafe act observations, and near-miss reports. Participate in or oversee contractor incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions meet COMPANY standards. Track HSE performance indicators and support reporting obligations. Communication & Engagement: Deliver COMPANY HSE inductions and safety briefings to personnel. Foster open communication and positive safety attitudes throughout offshore activities. Participate in project and safety meetings, as well as engagement sessions. Promote safety campaigns and continuous improvement initiatives. Emergency Preparedness: Evaluate emergency drills, exercises, and review outcomes to enhance preparation. Provide feedback on vessel and offshore emergency response effectiveness. Assist CSR in meeting COMPANY emergency response standards. Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in safety, health, or related fields. 3+ years’ experience in offshore oil/gas or high risk industry Knowledge of HSS management systems and WA safety case regimes. Familiar with Commonwealth, State, and Territory HSE legislation. Experience in auditing, investigations, and incident management. Root cause Analysis Investigation Training (e.g., TapRoot®, 5Y) – Desirable Internal/External Auditor training. Strong report writing skills.
