We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to support the delivery of a major utilities operations and maintenance contract in Western Australia. This is a highly visible role partnering with operational leaders, supervisors and frontline crews to drive positive safety outcomes, critical risk management and continuous improvement across a geographically dispersed workforce. This role offers a genuine opportunity to influence safety culture, build leadership capability and make a visible impact across a large-scale operational workforce. The Role As the Senior HSE Advisor, you will provide operational HSE leadership and support across the Western Power contract. You will partner with stakeholders at all levels to drive risk management, compliance, incident prevention and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with UGL's One HSE Culture Framework. Key Responsibilities Champion UGL's One HSE Culture Framework and Critical Risk Management program while providing trusted advice to operational leaders and supervisors. Conduct field inspections, audits and assurance activities to verify risk controls, compliance obligations and safe work practices. Lead incident investigations, analyse HSE trends and support initiatives that improve contract performance and workforce capability. Build strong relationships with Western Power representatives, regulators, subcontractors and operational teams to achieve positive safety outcomes. Coach and influence leaders and frontline personnel while supporting audits, business improvement initiatives and return-to-work processes. About You Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or related discipline), ICAM investigation training and a current Driver's Licence. Proven HSE experience within electricity distribution, utilities, infrastructure, construction or another high-risk operational environment. Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, incident investigation and contractor assurance processes. Demonstrated ability to build credibility with operational leaders, influence behaviours and drive continuous improvement. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
