POSITION OVERVIEW

Leading Human Factors programmes on a range of projects in varying phases of development. This involves independently planning, running, and delivering on all types of Human Factors activities (user studies, risk management, documentation, etc) as needed to meet client briefs and expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Utilising in-depth understanding of Human Factors principles, user needs and regulatory frameworks to consistently generate quality deliverables with limited guidance required.
  • Understanding client needs and generating appropriate Human Factors strategies or, where applicable, recommending changes to an ongoing project plan to ensure we consistently deliver value that contribute to meeting client and project objectives.
  • Through the delivery of high-quality work and client management, forging ongoing relationships with clients and spotting opportunities to sell usability services into these accounts as appropriate.
  • Taking ownership of and ensuring usability is at the core of the design and that this is maintained throughout the development process.
  • Actively taking part in influencing the product design and applying usability insights to generate appropriate and innovative solutions. Communicating your ideas and concerns effectively and proactively collaborating with the wider team.
  • You are expected to deliver quality stakeholder management by communicating the value of Human Factors as a discipline and in your work. At times, this involves informing and educating client teams on usability considerations and practices to ensure the design adheres to sound usability principles and meets user needs.
  • Raising awareness and understanding of usability and Human Factors internally within Crux through actively promoting the discipline and being seen as a subject matter expert that others turn to for guidance and expertise.
  • Striving for continuous improvement of individual and team capability.
  • Championing the development of established and new processes to keep our practises up to date. Identifying and pursuing new development areas for personal development as well as capability development needs for the Human Factors function as a whole.
  • Supporting the development of other team members through mentoring, upskilling, and providing feedback on their work.Seeking out opportunities to demonstrate thought leadership and utilising the capabilities within Crux to generate cutting-edge work that sets Crux Human Factors apart from competition and supports the development of the discipline.
