POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected and innovative organization in their search for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner . This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced HR leader to provide strategic and operational support, guide key people initiatives, and contribute to the organization’s long-term success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 6–8 years of progressive HR management experience in a unionized environment, supporting a large employee base.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation required.
  • Strong experience in recruitment, grievance handling, and union negotiations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be based in Winnipeg, with flexibility to travel up to 5% as required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead employee and labour relations, including performance management, investigations, grievances, and union negotiations.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs to foster an inclusive workplace.
  • Enhance employee engagement, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Act as HR lead in the absence of the VP People & Culture.
